Practice hunting in Spain is such a great privilege. We are blessed with a huge variety of mountains and forests, a pleasant climate and a long list of animals which are unique in our country. You can choose your favourite recreational activities to have a complete and perfect trip!

What do you need to plan your trip for hunting in Spain?

First at all, you must know there are some important things you should keep in mind to practice this sport:

-If you are from the United States or one of the EU countries, you don´t need a visa. You just have to come as a tourist and stay in the country a maximum of 3 months (this depends on the country of origin, we recommend you to be sure before your trip).

-If you bring your own weapons (a maximum of three), you will need to fill out a form, available at the Spanish Consulate. You must provide your personal information, the firearm information, a copy with the information of the place where you will practice hunting in Spain and the dates of arrival and departure. Also, there is a tax you have to pay at the arrival at the airport.

-Once you have landed in Spain, your weapon will be taken to the police office. Then, you will receive a temporary permit that is obligatory to keep with the gun all the time.

-At the end of your trip, you must stop again at the police office to declare that you are travelling with a firearm. The police will provide you with a form which includes your flight and firearm information. Then, you have to pack your weapon separately of your normal luggage.
